Real stories of how our services are transforming communities across the Erongo Region.

How we launched the first comprehensive weekly waste collection service in Usakos, covering residential areas and the town centre, eliminating illegal dumping hotspots.
Before Mastered GreenPlus Investment arrived, residents of Usakos had no reliable waste collection service. Many households resorted to burning waste or dumping it in open spaces, creating health hazards and environmental damage. We partnered with the Town Council to design a weekly collection route covering the entire residential area, provided colour-coded bins to each household, and established a sorting and recycling station at the edge of town. Within six months, the transformation was visible — cleaner streets, healthier communities, and a proud team of young Namibians running the operation.
“Our streets have never been this clean. The GreenPlus team is always on time and professional. My family feels proud to be part of this change.”

Installing a 10kW solar system for a rural school, cutting electricity costs by 70% and ensuring reliable power for computer labs and classrooms.
Karibib Combined School struggled with frequent power outages that disrupted computer-based learning for over 400 students. The school was spending nearly N$8,000 per month on electricity — a significant burden on their limited budget. Mastered GreenPlus designed and installed a 10kW rooftop solar system with battery storage, providing clean, reliable power throughout the school day. The installation was completed during the school holiday to avoid any disruption. Today, the computer labs run uninterrupted, and the savings are redirected into textbooks and school supplies.
“The learners can now use computers every day without worrying about load shedding. This solar installation has changed the future of our school.”

Replacing expensive diesel pumps with solar-powered borehole systems for 15 small-scale farmers, ensuring reliable irrigation and reducing fuel costs.
Small-scale farmers around Omaruru were spending up to N$3,000 per month on diesel to run water pumps for irrigation — eating into already thin profit margins. When diesel prices spiked or supply ran short, crops suffered. Mastered GreenPlus assessed each farm individually, sized the appropriate solar pump system, and installed solar panels connected to borehole pumps. The results were immediate and dramatic: farmers reported healthier crops, higher yields, and the peace of mind that comes with free, reliable water from the sun.
“I used to queue for diesel and worry about whether my tomatoes would get enough water. Now the sun does the work for free. My harvest has never been better.”

Small-Scale Farmer, Omaruru

Establishing the first community recycling hub in Arandis, creating a circular economy model that turns waste into income for local residents.
Arandis, a uranium mining town, had no recycling infrastructure whatsoever. All waste went to a distant landfill. Mastered GreenPlus established a central recycling hub where residents and businesses could drop off separated recyclables. We trained 25 young people as recycling agents who collect materials door-to-door and sort them at the hub. Recyclable materials are sold to certified buyers, generating income for the agents and the community. The programme has turned waste from a burden into an economic opportunity.
“I never thought recycling could put food on the table. Now I earn a living from keeping my town clean. That is what I call a green economy.”
Selma Nangombe
Recycling Agent, Arandis
